ULIFAM/ICIEF Director Associate Professor Abdurrahman YAZICI has participated in presenting paper titled “Requirement of a Comprehensive Islamic Benchmarking to Mitigate Risks in Islamic Financial Institutions (IFIs)” to the TICIEF 2019.
“Tunisia International Conference on Islamic Economics and Finance 2019: Risk Management, Financial Engineering and Financial Stability” which held in April 12-14, 2019, Hamamet, Tunisia.
TICIEF 2019 was supported by Islamic Development Bank, Zaitouna University and many Tunisian universities and Islamic financial institutions.
Dr. Yazici's paper was discussing the issue of using interest based benchmarking by Islamic financial institutions in the line of risk management. This paper was investigating the requirements for a comprehensive Islamic benchmarking rate and its role in the mitigation of these risks in IFIs.
